In September 2010, twofootedtackle.com announced that we were teaming up with a charity partner, Cardiac Risk in the Young.
CRY was launched in 1995 by Alison Cox MBE to raise awareness of conditions that can lead to sudden cardiac death and sudden death syndrome in apparently fit and healthy young people. As you can imagine, these are conditions that affect young sportspeople and many footballers have sadly lost their lives due to heart conditions that instinct tells us healthy people shouldn’t develop.
As the partnership continues, TFT will help to promote CRY where possible as well as encouraging readers to donate and organising fundraising activity of our own. This page will be updated with new activity whenever it occurs.
April 2011
On 30th April 2011, TFT donated £315.06 to CRY thanks to the very generous donations of our readers.
If you have any questions, comments or suggestions about or for our partnership with Cardiac Risk in the Young, please email cry@twofootedtackle.com.
